"You don't have to manage all this [*gesures broadly*] alone." -Kat
Whether this is about you, your child, or your family, many people come to therapy feeling this way:
Things feel heavy, uncertain, or harder than they “should” be
You’ve been holding a lot for a long time - sometimes quietly
It’s difficult to explain what’s going on, even to yourself
Patterns keep repeating, even when you want something different
You’re trying to cope, but something still doesn’t feel right
You want things to feel more manageable, but aren’t sure where to begin
Green Sheep Therapy was inspired by a place many people find themselves at some point in their lives: the experience of not quite fitting, of moving through the world a little differently, and of carrying blame, tension, or responsibility that isn’t fully theirs.
Sometimes it shows up in how we’re seen. Maybe we're labeled by others as “intense” or “falling short.” Other times, it takes the form of a deep (and often quite unfair) internal worry that these words might actually describe us accurately. Have you ever found yourself wondering, “maybe I’m too much?” “what if I’m not enough?” - or even, “oh no, what if it’s both?!”
Other times, it’s quieter. Holding what others couldn’t hold, or saying yes when we really mean no. Maybe we find ourselves adapting and behaving in ways that were necessary then but don’t quite fit now.
That place, while often painful, can also hold meaning and possibility. It can be where awareness begins: noticing what isn’t working, and slowly loosening patterns that no longer feel like your own.
The “Green Sheep” speaks to the possibility that comes next. Not fitting in isn’t the end of the story - it can be the beginning of finding greener pastures, however that takes shape: learning new skills, setting boundaries, softening old roles, and moving toward a way of living that feels more sustainable, more connected, and more your own.
At times, it can be hard to put into words what feels off, overwhelming, or stuck. You might notice patterns that don’t quite make sense, or feel the weight of experiences that are difficult to name. Therapy can offer space to explore those layers while also supporting change in the here and now.
My approach is centered on you. I meet you where you are, moving at a pace that feels manageable and grounded in what matters most to you.
I work in an integrative and flexible way, drawing from depth-oriented, somatic, and practical approaches so that therapy can adapt to you - not the other way around. Along the way, we’ll pay attention to both what’s difficult and what’s already supporting you.
I also bring a trauma-competent and context-aware lens, holding in mind how past experiences, relationships, and larger systems shape what you’re going through.
When it’s helpful, our work might include exploring deeper patterns, connecting with your body, or using creative approaches like art. At other times, it may be more practical, building tools and strategies you can use in your day-to-day life.

Hi, I’m Kat (Katrin Wood), a professional counselor associate and art therapist registrant offering therapy for individuals, children, and families.
I’ve been working in mental health and human services since 2013, supporting people across a wide range of experiences and life stages. My approach is grounded in curiosity, creativity, and respect for the complexity of your story. I draw from both talk therapy and expressive arts based approaches, creating space for exploration, insight, and meaningful change.
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Lewis & Clark College, where my work focused on trauma as well as supporting trans and gender nonconforming kids, teens, adults, and families. I bring a feminist, anti-oppressive lens to my work and aim to create a space where you can show up fully and authentically.
I look forward to meeting you!
